November 17 1999 Sporadic meteor

This meteor was imaged while attempting to capture the predicted Leonid shower. Leo was still below the eastern horizon and I was doing a test run when this fireball crossed the field of view of the camera from the approximate direction of Taurus. For the rest of the night, I only managed to record one extremely faint and short track that could possibly be a Leonid.

Camera: CWIP-S CCD integrating camera (un-cooled). 18mm f1.8 lens, tripod mounted, no tracking. Approximately 10 second exposure.

Capture device: ATI All In Wonder Pro video card at 640 by 480 resolution, recording to hard disk (AVI file) at one frame per second.
